TSEN S/S 2010

Lookbook, website layout and build, identity

The S/S 2010 range is the second TSEN collection, featuring strong, flattering pieces with a unique fashion perspective. The predominantly monotone collection plays off symmetry and asymmetry of the form. This inspired the design behind the TSEN identity, as well as the lookbook and website designs.

In contrast to the dark, predominantly black design of the A/W 2010 designs, the S/S 2010 lookbook features a brighter, whiter aesthetic. The letterforms of the TSEN logo were also used to distort and manipulate each photograph within the lookbook and the website.

Medium-Raw

Website layout and build, online store, identity

Medium-Raw is an accessories range designed by Melbourne fashion designer Adam Tsen. The range includes handmade bow ties, scarfs and other accessories. The identity design plays off the handmade, 'raw' quality of the products, as well as the fresh, young design aesthetic. The website itself uses a unique navigation system that encourages exploration of the product range and incorporates an online store.

TSEN / Medium-Raw Launch

Mail-out invite, A0 posters

Melbourne fashion designer Adam Tsen's ready-to-wear range, TSEN, and seperate accessories range, Medium-Raw, were launched at a single event. A mail-out poster was designed as an invite to the event, with each side being allocated one of the brands. Deconstructed brand marks and similar layouts were used on both sides, tying the two brands together conceptually. The invite was enlarged to A0 size and used as posters at the event, alongside posters featuring both collections.

Your Sweat is Salty. I Am Why.

Illustrative typeface

A type-based piece completed in collaboration with Peter Borg.

Art and design collective A Thousand Shipwrecks chose 15 Melburnian emerging artists, designers, photographers and muscians to be a part of their debut publication, titled 'Maiden Voyage'. The brief required participants to respond to the nautical theme of the book.

The piece was inspired by the Björk song 'Oceania', which was written from the perspective of the ocean. The illustration works on one level as a pattern of waves, but also as an abstract typeface.

The typographic illustration was featured as a spread in 'Maiden Voyage', and as a A1 poster as part of the book launch at No Vacancy.
